ACTIVITIES

  •  Appointed Senior Editor of department newsletter (ECSAP) and the only member of the editorial board to have served four years consecutively (2005-2009).

  • Completed a project at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) titled “Temperature measurement using capacitive sensors for space applications”. This project has a paper intended for publication (2009).
  • Wrote an original paper titled ‘RFID based Home Area Networks’ and presented a seminar on the same in college (2008).
  • Was invited to be on the panel of judges for an inter-college debate by the IEEE, BIT chapter (2008).
  •   Won first place in the paper presentation category for an original work titled ‘Networks of the Future’ in the Campus Connect program organized by Infosys (2007).
  • Built a high speed hovercraft and demonstrated it at IIT-Madras’s technical fest ‘SHAASTRA’ (2006).
  • Was an active member of the college drama team ‘AAKT’ which has showcased play across the country (2005-2006).
  • Was a member of the college basketball team and have represented them at inter college level (2005-2007).
  • Awarded first place in the Crandall creative writing state level competition (2000).
  • Have won several awards for oratorical excellence in English, in categories such as elocution, debates and drama.
